Every ingredient adds a special element to this beautiful balm. Beeswax is one of nature's most valued moisturizers. Derived from the transparent fluid that is produced by a bee from its hexagonal booths, pure beeswax is safe and compatible with the human skin. It adds to the skin's moisture by boosting the natural oil supply.
Shea Butter is an important part of this base. For thousands of years, humans have applied and consumed shea butter for its skin-protecting properties. It is very rich in Omega-6 linoleic and Omega-9 oleic Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs), which comprise over 50% of shea butter by weight. It also contains large, naturally-occurring concentrations of retinol, which is clinically shown to reduce wrinkles, as well as various highly beneficial naturally-occurring UV absorbers, antioxidants and Omega-3 EFAs. It also has a natural SPF of up to 8.
Shea butter is reported to be a natural moisturizer and emollient, as well as a competent cell regenerator. It pulls moisture from the air, allowing skin to retain extra moisture throughout the day. I used this throughout my pregnancy and I never got any stretch marks! I unfortunately had to have a cesarean and this balm has been really great for scar mobilization. I’ve been using/doing silicone cup mobilization therapy and I put a little extra balm which provides the perfect amount of moisture and gliding for the cupping therapy. Fantastic product for pre and postpartum! <3
and the scent is barely there - which is a HUGE bonus when I had really bad scent aversion during pregnancy!

I'm 36 weeks today and I'm on my third jar of Belly Balm (use it morning and night). No stretch marks so far, and no itching. I can't guarantee that it's the Belly Balm but both my sisters had stretch marks and developed a really bad rash towards the end of their pregnancies (they used Palmers). I have been using BEE23 products for years, actually ever since Michelle came up with her brilliant formula and made her first facial and lip balms. It's the only beauty product that works for me and it makes my mature skin feel smooth, nourished and healthy. The BELLY BALM is especially wonderful, not that I use it on my belly at this stage in my life, but applying it to my legs and arms is absolutely the best, my skin stays soft and wrinkle free. Knowing that I am using toxic free, natural products on my body makes me feel healthy and safe from all the chemicals that are used in the beauty world today.
I was already a fan of the hotty balm for my face, so it was no question that when I was pregnant I would use BEE23’s Belly Balm. It goes on smooth, and easily. I had my son 2 weeks ago now, and have zero stretch marks! I can’t guarantee that’s entirely from the belly balm, but I’m sure it certainly helped. I also love this balm for use after birth. I keep it next to me when I’m nursing as it’s perfect to use to massage my breasts while breastfeeding, especially with a newborn who was struggling with it at first. It’s easy to just run my fingers along the top of the balm, and get just the right amount without needing a second hand to squeeze a tube like with most lotions. And of course I’m not concerned about there being any harsh chemicals that close to my baby’s face. I even use it to moisturize his dry feet while he’s nursing and doesn’t fuss about them being touched!
